What are operating costs and what costs are billed?

Operating costs are those costs that are incurred for the ongoing operation of a residential building (exhaustive list in accordance with §21 MRG). These include:

✅Water costs

✅ Sewer fees

✅ Waste disposal

✅ Building cleaning

✅ Insurances

✅ Administration expenses

✅ Expenses for housekeeping

✅ Heating costs (if billed centrally)

Credit balance from the utility bill – this is how the payout works

If the statement results in a credit balance, this will be paid out automatically on the next but one interest payment date – provided that bank details have been entered. If no bank details have been provided, the credit balance will be credited to the rent account. Please note: Offsetting against the next rent payment or a deduction is not possible!
